Hodgepode about the Green- sort of...

Wow, Lately it seems I only come to the blog to post Hodgepodge Wednesday. I need to post more often!

Here it is again this week-

Please join along with me on Joyce's blog.

1. St. Patrick's Day will be celebrated this coming Saturday...what's a favorite article of clothing you own that contains a touch o' the green?

I really don't wear much green. On St. Patrick's Day, I never wear green. You will see me in an orange T-shirt or sweater instead.

2. What's a favorite 'green space' in the town, state, or province where you live?

I live very near Lake Michigan in Coast Guard City, USA. We have beautiful lake shore beaches that are very well maintained. I love to go for walks, watch sunsets and sometimes just sit and read at the beach. I love the sound of the waves slurping up on the sand. It is very relaxing.

3. Do you wish you were taller, shorter, or think you're just about right in the height department?

Shorter. I have always felt over-sized.

4. What's the surest way for someone to pick a fight with you?

According to my husband it is for someone to tell me no or that I can't do something. I think outside the box and can't never does anything.

5. Broccoli-Spinach-String Beans-Peas...of the four, your favorite green veg? (Or the one you dislike the least if that first option's too hard. I just know there's some veggie haters out there.)

Oh my, I like them all. Favorite of the bunch would be Peas. Sugar snap peas steamed with sesame seeds. YUM!

6. March is National Women's History Month...besides friends, neighbors and the women you're related to, who's a woman in history you admire and why?

Eleanor Roosevelt. She was a strong woman who knew when to give her opinion and when to remain silent.

7. Keep Calm and Knit on.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

Today is Pi day. 3.14. Yes, I am geeky like that. Every year on Pi day we have Pie. Savory Pie for dinner then a sweet pie for dessert. This year we will have turkey pot pie for dinner, because I baked a turkey for dinner last night and we will eat off it for a week. Cheap meal if you think about it. For dessert, we will have Blackberry pie with fresh vanilla ice cream.
