A little bit of Christmas Spirit

Yes, I know I am supposed to be all caught up in the Holiday mood already, what with 9 days to go until Christmas. This year just seems to be a bit tough to get giddy over giving when so many I know are out of work and struggling.
My daughter has filled the house with fun. Her and her boyfriend decided to make a gingerbread house. The giggling was contagious.

The Next day was the Winter Dance at the High School. They had dinner at a friends before the dance.

Last night I went to our knitting groups Christmas party, a very nice gathering at one of the ladies houses. We exchanged ornaments and swapped yarn and books from our stash. I came home with enough wool for a sweater for my daughter, a shawl and a baby outfit. I hope the other ladies are just as pleased with what they got in the swap.
Tonight we are under another winter storm advisory, so we decided to finally set up the Christmas tree. My son called to ask me not to put the ornaments on until he gets home. So we wait...
I am working on the second Blue Hawaiian today and hope to have it finished by tomorrow.
I need to get out of this Bah Humbug funk ... more smiles to come.
