Ravelversary

Holy Cow ... MOO!

I cannot believe that it has only been a year since I joined Ravelry. A lot has changed in the last year, there were times the months flew by and others that dragged like a binki in the hands of a toddler.

My changes in the last year:

In the fiber world:
I Finished 39 projects in the last year with 11 projects still in progress.

I met a group of amazing ladies and meet up with them on Mondays in Holland.
One of these ladies Twisted my arm (oh OUCH Damn it!!) and we started a podcast together. Yes, now I talk about knitting, while I am knitting, gee it is such a hard life.

I met a lady from Whitehall and we used to meet up on Tuesdays (miss those meet ups)

ETA: I have also gained wonderful friends through the Ravelry Groups and met several of them in person. I feel the fiber love all around me.

I learned to spin, found out I like it. now am in search for the perfect for me wheel.

I met the Yarn Harlot, attended my first Stitch-n-pitch, led a few knitters to the mecca of ThreadBear, Attended Stitches, and met Debbie Macomber.

I learned new processes in knitting & crocheting, learned stuff I like and a few things I tried I will not go back to, but over all I believe I have had an awesome knitting/crocheting year.

At Home:
My son graduated from High school.
My daughter got her first job.
I passed Keyboarding, Accounting, Access and Law in college (the classes I sweated through)

My husband is mostly supportive of my addiction to the fibers, he just wishes I would clean as much as I craft.

So a contest for my Ravelversary:

I will be making up a goodie box full of Swap goodness (swag...yum) to be given out around November 4th. (well the contest is open until the 7th, a full week) Please post a comment to my blog to be entered.

Wow Coggie! A year on Ravelry. What did we ever do without it? I know my projects did not get tracked, and I did not find as many things to start.

I love your podcast. It is becoming one of my favorites.

Hope you have a great second year on Ravelry.

Congrats on a year! I know how you feel about knitting and ravelry.
I sometimes imagine "What did I do before I was a knitter?" I can't even remember.
