yes, me...camping.

Well, there had to be a good reason for me to give up my "idea of camping is a hotel without room service" motto. The reason, a weekend at the Michigan Fiber Festival.
I had a blast!
My friend Lorrie

has a mini pop up camper, it sleeps two comfortably. We had everything else out under a 10x10 canopy that we got screen for on the second day. The flies were biting and we did not like that.

The draw was the fiber, but the friends we made were awesome as well.

Our next door tent neighbors talked us into to going to the triangle loom booth, yeah, one had to come home with me.

Triangle loom

And you know I had to buy fiber...what else do you do at a fiber fest..well, other than spin and drink *grin*

Some dyed fibers:

Natural Fibers:

Icelandic wool

and yarn

I also won two raffle drawings where I chose:

Babe Noddy

I was given a present of

by Debra. Will talk about the fiber mill in a later blog post.

On Saturday night we went to a local sheep farm for a BBQ. Good food! and the view...

Who could ask for more.

There is more...but that is for another post.

I love the yarn hanging in the background and the wheel sitting under the canopy. It looks like so much fun and all the smiles are making me jealous!
Also, great pick of the win...those colors are beautiful....tell us more!
