I talked about this buttonhole on Episode 41 of The High Fiber Diet Podcast.
I promised pictures for those who wanted to see it done. I do not have a camcorder and Boo was not home so no action photos, but here are pictures of how the buttonhole is worked up.
Buttonhole is worked with waste yarn over desired number of stitches.
Before removing Waste yarn. Thread a piece of the project yarn through all the stitches, plus the side stitches, to insure that you will not drop any stitches.
Remove Waste yarn
Turn work over and crochet chain bind off with the threaded yarn to close the loose buttonhole stitches to each other around to close. Weave in ends.
This is what the front of the buttonhole looks like. This is unblocked, I will try to remember to take a picture after blocking.
I hope this helps.
