On Friday I met...

Jared (yes I sound like we are friends, well, knitting friends we are, right) of Brooklyntweed Blog fame. He was here in Michigan teaching a few classes, that I was not able to take, but I am so glad I made it to his lecture. It was last minute, I called up Deborah and we headed over with our washcloths for donation and our $5 to get in.

He is the designer of the Koolhaas hat, Cobblestone sweater unventer of the HRB blanket that I have been working on ( just off the needles and blocking now, pictures to come later). He was very interesting to listen to, I learned a lot about how to take photos of your FO's and WIP's, I will be incorporating these tops into my photos from now on. Sorry, today's photos are not done with his tips, as they were taken while we were there at the lecture.
We learned tricks on lighting, using natural light to its best and that tin foil can be your friend. We saw wonderful pictures that he had taken of the two coasts of America, he is amazing with his camera.

We also saw upcoming patterns of his. I fell in love with the "Sunflower" shawl/Blanket and will be ordering it when it comes out.

Deborah is the best travel buddy! Thanks for going with me :)

Hiya! Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me some advice on my sweater in progress. I actually squeed out loud to have had someone "famous" whom I listen to on my iPod all the time offer their thoughts.

I can't wait to hear the tips. I always have such problems taking pictures of my knitting. I'm very jealous you got to meet Jared :)
